Yuri on the Chalkboard Week 15

yuri-chalk-15-idolmaster

I ended up talking about games with some friends last night for some reason or another and at one point we started discussing Xbox 360 and iDOLM@STER so today I decided to draw some idol yuri. This week I did a double drawing since I couldn’t pick which picture I liked best. For a better look at the first chalk drawing with Chihaya, Yukiho and Haruka look below:

And here’s Yayoi and Iori in greater detail:

Although I like the actual drawing itself, it felt it was missing something:

Yayoi is my favorite idol so I had to stick her in somewhere and of course Iori found her way in as well since she is pretty “Hard Gay” for Yayoi.

Since next week for me happens to be the last one before Spring Break, there won’t be any Chalkboard Yuri for 2 weeks. Until then I’ll probably be playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon or something.

  1. Oh ho ho ho, is this in anyway related to the news leaked about the PSP versions of iDOLM@STER? I’m considering buying it, since I hear the game 360 version was really good. I’d buy all 4 games (3 PSP and 1 360), but I don’t play my 360 so frequently now.

    Don’t buy iDOLM@STER: Live for You! on the 360 – it’s just a cash-in. No story, weak gameplay, hardly any songs, and over half the costumes and content have to be paid for as DLC, so the game actually costs a lot more than that $50-$60 price tag you see in the store. The fact that Live for You! sold so well proves that a lot of the iM@S fanbase are sheep who’ll buy any game with the iM@S label on it.

    The PSP games are probably a lot better, though. They have stories and stuff. Also, PSP is love.

    I’m pretty sure he’s talking about the first 360 game which too is a port of the arcade game with better graphics and extended stories.

    If you have to pick one iM@S game, you should buy THE iDOLM@STER: Twins which comes out in the middle of March. It’s basically original iM@S + L4U with a much lower price tag than buying both separately.

    Although I am interested in the PSP games, I would argue that they too are cash ins. The 3 PSP iM@S games amounts to dividing the 10 original idols into three parts all of which cost as much as the 360 game but with much weaker graphics. The only thing really new in the PSP versions is the introduction of a rival group 961 Pro featuring the hate-tastic combo of Miki and two new characters, Takane and Hibiki.

    Arcade ports are always welcome.

    I guess I would’ve made a bad call if I had put money into one of the PSP games. Jeez, this iDOLM@STER franchise is almost as confusing and inaccessible to me as Touhou.

  2. Okay, whoa, the one on the left is quite… incredible.
    Also, I wish I had a 360 to play iM@S ;_;

  3. I was actually referring to L4U, since I didn’t even know there was another one for 360. Well, thanks for the info on Twins. I guess I’ll grab that to try out. I’m thinking about getting the PSP one(s), but I’ve gone and forgotten which one has 4 girls xD

    And Citrus, just to emphasize your point about the iM@S fanbase: http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/02/23/maniac-otaku-buys-39-copies-of-idol-master-sp/

    @Zeroblade: Get one.

    @Southrop: The one you are talking about is Wandering Star.

    Then Wandering Star is probably the one I’m going to get, if I ever get one 😉
