All I know is that she apparently washed up on to the island after a shipwreck. If this is true it pretty much supports one of my theories that it is possible for the criminal to be someone who is not initially on the island and enters and leaves between the the two-day period.

I didn’t even notice the hand until I read this post.
The new witch does look a bit like Bernkastel, I wonder who she could be.
