While everyone is fan-gasming over Newtype’s announcement that the new Haruhi television anime will be airing this April, I find myself writing about something else Haruhi-related which most people have probably never heard of. In fact, I myself did not find out about this so-called Western doujin visual novel Worlds of Haruhi Suzumiya until a few days ago purely by accident when the public demo for the prologue was released.

I haven’t posted on here for a week but I have a good reason sort of; Among other things I have been playing Peach Princess’s newest translated visual novel Princess Waltz. If I had to summarize Princess Waltz in one sentence it would be a bishoujo version of Fate/stay night’s basic premise coupled with Nanoha-styled fight sequences played out using a card game. With such a strange combination of elements mashed up into one title I pretty much had no choice but to play it.

According to Kagikko Blog, Dengeki G’s and Dengeki HIME magazines will come packaged with Little Busters! “Ecstasy Figures” starting with their August issues and continuing for two additional issues. Unlike the SOLID WORKS line of trading figures, the girls are sporting…well, not that much. Let’s let the photos do the talking (photos from Dengeki G’s online).

It’s April 2nd in Japan now so I went to 鍵っ子ブログ(Key Blog) to check for updates regarding Rewrite. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Key but it seems that in fact the Rewrite announcement was indeed serious. However, the skeptical ones might believe that the announcement of the game itself could be real while the details such as the staff could be an April Fool’s joke. Amazingly though, by the look of things (by which I mean sources such as 2ch so take that as you will) both Ryukishi07 and Tanaka Romeo will be collaborating with Key on this one.

Alright, the first post of 2008. Of course, I have to make it about something KEY-related since my obsession with KEY is going insane especially with the “unofficial” release of the CLANNAD English translation. I played a little bit of it but my computer ended up crashing so I’ll probably have to wait until the “official” patch is out. Anyways, while checking for updates on CLANNAD’s translation, I found out that a full voice version of the PC game will be coming out on February 29. There is a voice patch that adds voice to the PC game using the audio files from the PS2 version but there are some differences between those versions. The official FULL VOICE game should correct those discrepancies and will hopefully have some extra goodies packaged in. Looks like I found my birthday present for this year.

Sadly, the fall 2007 anime season is coming to an end. As such, I might start posting a number of post-season impressions/reviews with the first one being Myself ; Yourself. My initial reason for wanting to watch it was that I saw the PV for the PS2 Visual Novel Game which also announced an anime version. The art was nice so I decided to check it out.
