So I didn’t realize this song was already out until late last night since I thought it would be released as a single first. Anyway this is the song that Yui and the original members sing to Azusa before leaving school for the last time. It’s a really touching song that sums up the wonderful times that they spent together and reassuring Azusa that even after they leave that they will always be together. Definitely one of my favorite songs from the series. I hope you like it as much as me.

Finally here’s my favorite of the Amagami EDs thus far. It helps that Ai is my favorite girl. The lyrics are a bit “choppy” at parts and has a good deal of repetition of sound so I tried to preserve those qualities in the translation. Trying to string together the words was an interesting experience but I think it turned out fairly well. The other song on the single will be done at some point but have fun with this for now.

I’ve been following Sphere since it was formed but I’ve recently become a bigger fan with Asobi ni Iku yo!‘s fantastically addicting OP. In contrast with the future pop of that song this one takes us back in time. The lyrics sound very classical so I tried to keep the English similar and a little more elegant than normal. Hopefully it sounds okay. (Also canon is not a typo)

Although Loop-the-Loop isn’t as catchy as the original anime’s opening it still has it’s own charm. It’s use of quirky space and “science” imagery is very in tune with the tone of the show. It’s a little hard to sing but that’s not that surprising for a KOTOKO song. Anyway I hope you enjoy this. I’ll be doing the ending as well when it’s released.

Amagami’s new OP like the first is extremely catchy. Between the words that evoke the winter season, the reciprocal love that moves from the past into the future and the ability to be oneself around one’s lover, the song produces a really wonderful image. Of course it’s wrapped up in a nice rhythm that’s fun to sing to. I hope everyone likes it just as much as me!

Considering that OreImo is my favorite show of the season, it’s no surprise that it managed to take me out of my translation slump. The Fall 2010 anime season has been off to a great start so far and I do enjoy a lot of what I have decided to pick up. Of those shows Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai is one the series that I can most easily relate to. In particular episode 2 struck a chord with me and awoke some memories of my life as an otaku that I usually avoid talking about. I would say that I share the same anxieties that Kirino has about making otaku friends though the circumstances aren’t exactly the same.
