For the past 3 days I’ve been missing in action on the internets due to Nekocon 12. After getting tired of not ever going to conventions with my friends I decided this year that I would finally go to one. Though my wallet is aching in the end it was definitely worth the price and time I paid. Get ready for a ridiculously long write up of my Nekocon adventure.

After canceling last week’s showing due to football, I have finally done the job I was elected to do; take several hours out of my weekend to show club members anime. This will be my second year doing this job even though this has only been my second year attending college. Actually I sort of created the position myself when I volunteered to administer showings myself since none of the real officers did it last year. It also gave me an excuse to not become a hikikomori. Anyways, enough rambling and on to the real news.

Japanese Homework Aug 29, 2008

For those who have been reading Lyrical Spark! for a while now, you know that it originally started as my blog for elementary Japanese. This year however I decided to keep my class blog separate but at the end of the year, Lyrical Spark will probably end up cannibalizing it so that I don’t have to maintain two blogs. Well, it didn’t take long for things to get exciting around here. Yesterday I took a trip to Washington, D.C. with everyone from CAINE to celebrate the Sakura Matsuri (the National Cherry Blossom Festival for those who don’t Moonspeak). I’d never actually been in D.C. for Sakura Matsuri before, so I was of course excited about that – but more importantly, this was my debut event as the president of CAINE, so I was determined to pull this off without any problems.
