YAY! It’s been a whole year since our virtual singing idol made her debut and started one of the coolest otaku crazes in recent memory. I’ve tried playing with the Vocaloid 2 software but my lack of musical composition training means I can’t participate in the fun of making new songs for Miku. Still I really appreciate the love that everyone else puts into their Miku songs and videos and hope to see many more cute songs to come. Until then I have my Good Smile Miku on pre-order so barring some crazy Japanese homework I may get, I’ll make a post about that as soon as I get it.

Since I’m still on my yuri high after watching Marimite, I felt like romanizing the lyrics to the very relevant song Yuri ga Suki da to Sakebitai. Unfortunately my rusty Japanese sucks so I can’t provide a decent translation for the song at this time. Enjoy this wonderful song anyways:

Today was originally supposed to be another study day but like always, things don’t go JUST AS PLANNED. Yesterday, I went with some friends to go see Iron Man which was a pretty good film. It was relatively late when we got back so I being the nice guy I am ended up walking one of the girls home since she doesn’t live near anyone else (including myself). I didn’t expect it to take too long but I ended talking for quite a bit with Niki so by the time I got back, it was somewhere around 11:30 (insert visual novel joke here). Then I took care of the normal internet business so it’s no surprise I didn’t wake up until 2 today.

Anyways, that’s enough rambling. I spent much of the afternoon transcribing lyrics for “Nico Nico Douga Ryuuseigun.” I based mine off dawnbringerz’s version and modified it by using the karaoke from Nico Nico. It’s a very fun song to sing but unfortunately, it’s kind of hard to sing with allergies. Anyways, please enjoy singing! I’ll record and post my version when I’m back home after exams.

As I have mentioned in a previous post, I am BIG iM@S fan. Last year as part of a poetry project, I made a video using the footage for the iM@S song Watashi ha Idol while recording my voice and reading a poem to the tune of the song. The second part of the project consisted of scenes from Kanon while I recited my own original poem about Kanon to the song Last regrets X-mas floor style.
