Now that the season is halfway over it’s time for a quick rundown of what I think about the season thus far. The two standout shows for me this season should be quite easy to guess. Thanks in part through the power of music Angel Beats and K-ON continue to remain at the top of my list. I don’t foresee that changing but the season has some other shows that I enjoy. Here’s the final song on the Thousand Enemies single. Just like Rain Song I don’t believe this has aired in the anime yet but I did it anyway since it will show up eventually. Since I’m busy this week I’ll go back and check all three sets of lyrics later to do some fine-tuning but they should be fine as is for the time being. Enjoy.

Here’s the second song on the Thousand Enemies single Rain Song. The lyrics are relatively simple so it wasn’t too hard. I don’t think this has actually appeared in the anime yet but whatever. Only one song left!

I should be studying for my last two finals but instead I bring you the latest insert song from Angel Beats! Thousand Enemies is performed by LiSA as Yui and was played during episode 5. After listening to it a few times I think this may be my favorite Angel Beats song. I really like the lyrics and it’s just so fun to sing. I’ll get around to the other 2 songs on the single at some point but for now have fun with this translation!

It’s been forever since I last did one of these drawings. Because of various unforeseen circumstances I haven’t been able to draw Yuri Chalk for 6 weeks in a row. I didn’t want to end the semester without making one last drawing so I did this during my last opportunity. To make up for it I had to have multiple girls relationships in this image so going with the biggest yuri harem I good think of I choose to go with Touhou’s Marisa and company. I couldn’t find a good image with all the main girls in her harem so I had to combine 2 together.

After fighting the throng of rabid otaku my 1/8 scale Alter Hirasawa Yui has finally arrived! I reserved my copy as soon as preorders were open which was somewhere at the beginning of the fall semester for me. I’m now taking finals for the spring semester so it’s been a while. Given the various delays to Yui’s release date I was this close to canceling my order but I’m glad I didn’t.

With only a little more than a month before PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker makes its North American debut I’ve been gobbling up every bit of related material I can find online. Somehow I stumbled on to this strange fanmade video of Big Boss doing sketchy things to one of the game’s main characters Paz. Did I mention she’s still in her teens and in only in underwear making it all the more creepy/hilarious/mind-blowing depending on your take? If you have 3 minutes to spare and can brace yourself for some “what!?” then you should watch this video. The first 45 seconds or so are of Big Boss taking photos of Paz and chasing her down with his camera while she tells him not to. Then Big Boss trades in his camera for a stun rod and continues running after her while the Psycho shower scene music plays for another 45 seconds. Using some CQC Big Boss grabs hold of Paz and interrogates her. She says stuff like “I’m…Paz…I love…peace…” and “It hurts…Let go of me…” At the very end he slams her down on the ground after which a cutscene starts. Paz walks away while Big Boss yells for her to come back and the game over music plays. At the end I pretty much had nothing else to say because my brain was fried.
I’m looking forward to this game so much. I’m set on getting this launch day and since I don’t have a PSP yet I’ll be getting the Big Boss Pack which will include the following:
It’s going to be so cool except the part where I’ll lose the PSP due to the camo paint job. I can’t wait until June 8 when I can be advertised Doritos, Moutain Dew, Pepsi, Axe body spray, etc.

So have you ever felt like doing something after watching an anime? You know the strange sensation to live out what just happened to recreate the magic, get in touch with characters or something else. Okay maybe not everyone does that but as embarrassed as I am I admit to doing that quite a bit. Well I’ve been feeling like that ever since watching the latest episode of Angel Beats. I wanted to understand the one thing that Kanade was looking forward to after Yuri ruined her life. Aorii and I went out to get some dinner and brought back some mapo tofu from a local Chinese restaurant. It was great. I can sympathize even more with her and how she was denied her one simple pleasure.

In the June issue of Megami magazine a new two volume To Heart 2 OVA was announced for release this September The fourth OVA series will be called To Heart 2 adnext and will feature Komaki Manaka and Kusakabe Yuuki as the principle heroines.
I’m really looking forward to this since I just recently finished all of To Heart. Manaka is love and Yuuki just needs more screen time so I can get to know her character better. Hopefully I can also finish that To Heart post I’ve been working on once I get the time again. Can’t wait until September!
