Ever since I moved to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia, my life hasn’t been the same. When I haven’t been tackling homework or chasing my dream to become the greatest teacher in Japan, I’ve been learning karate and watching tons of anime - all the while meeting new friends and foes. I joke about being a “fruity liberal arts kid” since I am an English major, but I really do have a lot of drive, and the only thing that consistently holds me back is my poor time management skill.
I might seem like I have all the maturity of a 12-year-old, since I have way too much enthusiasm for certain things and I make random immature jokes all the time, but I’m capable of taking things seriously, especially my responsibilities as president of UVA’s anime club, CAINE, and as a peripheral developer in Zanaikin’s “Imperium Project” video game. I’m a little more willing to put myself on the line in public or social situations than most otaku, although I deal with my fair share of otaku problems.
When it comes to anime and manga, I’m obsessed with mecha - especially Gundams, which I consider to be the most stylish and exciting mecha of all. I also have a weakness for ecchi and for cosplay, and like all otaku I have a weakness for “moe,” although my definition of that concept is usually different from everyone else’s.
I’ve got a serious leader complex and admire people and characters who are always cool and in control, from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Tom Brady to Char Aznable to Lelouch Lamperouge.
[Anime] Mobile Suit Gundam series, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Initial D, Code Geass, Kanon, Cutie Honey
[Manga] Love Hina, Death Note, Great Teacher Onizuka, Azumanga Daioh, Excel Saga, Rurouni Kenshin
[Seiyuu] Horie Yui, Sugita Tomokazu, Noto Mamiko
[Game] Guitar Hero III, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, Elite Beat Agents
What have I been watching lately? Let’s take a look…

Commenting just because I can. It feels weird seeing your about page in the same format as mine since I initially “stole” it from Quyen’s site.
I didn’t realize that there was a chain of format thievery going on. I’ve been stealing your layouts because I’m not creative enough to come up with my own… yet.
